The Process:

Step one – Initial Consultation: This is where we get to know you. What are your housing needs and desires? That way, as we work through the process of crafting a plan, we can adjust and modify it until we’re sure that it meets your dreams and goals, without busting your budget.

Step Two – Design & Review: Once we have the design elements in place, preliminary documents will be printed up and gone over with you to make sure nothing has been missed. Once you’ve signed off on the design, final construction drawings will be produced, which can be used by you or your contractor and other professionals to build the home, addition or special room of your dreams.

Step Three – Your Construction Documents: After receiving your sign-off, the approved design will be reviewed for accuracy of measurements, and to make sure each plan meets or exceeds standard building practices in your state. In addition, we’ll confirm that it complies with applicable municipal codes as determined during our initial consultation.

If special documentation for building departments is needed, JET Home Designs will work with the appropriate professionals to ensure that they are produced efficiently and cost-effectively, helping to smooth the permitting process, while remaining mindful of your budget.

Your design may include some or all of the following items:

  1. Front Elevation
  2. Side & Rear Elevations
  3. Floor Plan
  4. Foundation Plan
  5. Foundation Details
  6. Cornice Details
  7. Interior Elevations
  8. Cross Sections
  9. Mechanical Layout

Additional plan options may include:

  1. Roof Plan
  2. Room Finish, Door & Window Schedules
  3. Electrical Plan
  4. Building Sections
  5. Cabinet Elevations

The result:

A practically perfect home, addition, or kitchen or bath design that your family will be proud to show off for years, while never losing sight of the importance of functionality, and attention to the details that will make each space a truly special place to spend time.

Worried about cost? The price range for your design will depend on how large and/or complex the plan is, and the conditions at the building site. Because the cost of our services is unrelated to the value of the built home or project, you can achieve significant savings by working with us as opposed to contracting a full-service architectural firm.
